Actor and model, Uti Nwachukwu, has aired his view on the public confrontation between American actor, Will Smith and Comedian, Chris Rock.
Uti has stated that people who allow their love for their significant other to cause them to act violently will eventually end up badly.
Nwachukwu was reacting to the moment, when American actor, Will Smith, hit comedian, Chris Rock, after the latter made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
In posts on his social media pages, Nwachukwu said, “Your love for someone can be the end of you. If loving someone always put you in a bad light, be it humiliation, shame, ridicule, taunting and trigger violence. Then I put it to you, it will eventually end you.”
He added, “My friends and I have been talking about Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. First of all, I think it STAGED! Lol But if it wasn’t staged. Then my tweet is my conclusion because whattttt!?!!!! On INTERNATIONAL TV?!!
“His wife has made him a joke since the August thing! This one na suppression cause am! Transferred aggression!! What’s paining me is that this has overshadowed his lifelong dream of winning an Oscar.”
The buzz started when Rock made a joke with Smith’s wife. Rock’s joke referred to the 1997 film GI Jane, in which Demi Moore played the title role with a severe buzzcut.
Pinkett Smith rolled her eyes at the comment, while Smith appeared to initially laugh and clap his hands before he was seen on stage, walking up to Rock.
The comedian looked stunned in the immediate aftermath of the incident, but told the audience: “That was the greatest night in the history of television.”
