Nigerian lady, identified as Amarachi Ugwuanyi, has stated that people only want elaborate wedding because they want to impress and oppress people.
The newly wed said this while sharing pictures from her simple wedding.
From the pictures shared by her, the wedding was done in a sitting room with six people in attendance excluding her and the love of her life.
In the photos, the lady donned a simple red dress and minimal makeup, while her husband donned a shirt and trouser as they got joined in holy matrimony in the presence of very few number of people.
She wrote in part, “Wedding is not expensive, na you wan impress village people”.

Sometimes when people talk like this, I just know that e dey pain them. She obviously wanted it big but decided to please her man and be the good woman. That’s great, but she’s just voicing her whatever. I could be wrong though.

She is not against expensive and lavishing wedding, she is only trying to tell people who thinks that wedding must be lavishing and expensive for it to be a wedding that is not true……. and that nomatter how little you have? You can still get married and enjoy your home with your hubby or wifey.
